I’m experimenting with a few different things on my blog and one of them is BlogRush. You can go here and watch a screencast of how it works, but basically it adds a widget to your blog (which you can see on the right hand side - anyone using Internet Explorer 6.0? Is it messing the sidebars up?), with links to various blogs that are supposedly in the same category as your blog. It’s basically a pretty sweet set-up for link sharing that may potentially give your blog a ton of exposure. I haven’t used BlogRush enough to fully understand the statistics it’s showing me, but I think that my blog is doing pretty well with it. I normally get around 600-800 unique hits a day, with around 1000 total hits. After installing BlogRush, I’ve seen those stats rise. My first day after signing up with BlogRush, I had 927 unique hits and 1303 total hits.
Anyway - it’s free and it’s a good way to possibly build some new traffic to your site. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.
Problogger has a few good posts about BlogRush and how you can best utilize its power to help your blog succeed. Check them out below:
Scott Bartchy is a radical. He believes in a subversive system that embraces those on the fringes of our society and seeks to establish a new way of life that goes against the status quo.
Kind of like Jesus.
Bartchy, currently the Director of the Center for the Study of Religions at UCLA, notes a great gap between the original, early form of church in the first three hundred years of Christianity, and the modern concept of doing church today.
